Un nuevo acuerdo de colaboración internacional se une al ya existente hace algunos años con Peluca Films en Argentina.

A partir de ahora estrechamos lazos con Oriental Films, la productora de Uruguay más destacada y con más proyección internacional de los últimos años. Ellos van a cuidar de nuestros proyectos allí, ofreciendo una producción de alta calidad en un país que comienza a despuntar como centro de producción internacional muy recomendable.

Este acuerdo posibilita, además, la representación en exclusiva para España de Charly Gutiérrez, el director uruguayo más destacado del momento.

Durante los dos últimos años, 2008 y 2009, Oriental Films y Charly Gutiérrez han obtenido el galardón de mejor productora y mejor director uruguayos en el Ojo de Iberoamérica.

Mario Padilla has joined Wind to head our most ambitious project yet: launch and development of a new international department.

Wind Service, to be illuminated by Mario, is born of the same strong commitment to our work that has guided us in the domestic market for 20 years.

Mario, 46, has over 20 years of experience in production services worldwide. He started his career in his native Málaga, working with the most important producers on the Costa del Sol, then went on to develop as an international producer across five continents, eventually landing at Twentyfour Seven productions.

To celebrate our 20th anniversary as well as the creation and launch of our new international department, we’ve decided to involve ourselves actively this year in Shots Magazine, without a doubt one of the most influential media in the area of international publicity (and currently celebrating its own 20th year).

Our friends at China, the new agency run by Marta Aguirrezábal and Rafa Antón, have taken creative charge of the graphic campaign.

Here you can see the first of the originals published in Shots Magazine’s special 20th anniversary issue.

Congratulations to Shots and thanks to China, with special thanks to Rafa Antón.

Our Argentine public-awareness campaign against child violence has been awarded a “Lápiz de Oro” prize in the Social Welfare category.

It had previously received Silver and Bronze for best direction and best public-service piece, respectively, at Diente 09, the annual awards of the Círculo de Publicitarios Argentino.

We look forward to taking this excellent campaign (by Diego & Vlady) to future festivals.

We’ve opened profiles on Facebook and Vimeo, which you can access via the link on our website.

By maintaining an active, current presence, with ad hoc content by Wind, we hope to take full advantage of the possibilities for communication and exchange offered by these social websites.

Darío Peña is in charge of developing this project. Our most experimental director is very well acquainted with the new forms of audiovisual expression created on and for the net.

A great deal of Darío’s work involves his presence online, where he’s had a significant impact and attracted many followers.

El análisis que cambiará la ley, our documentary film project created for the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), has won three Bronzes at the latest  Ojo de Iberoamérica (winning for Classic Cine/TV, for Content, and for PR).
 
Mireia Pujol  directed two of the short films, Qué bonito sería and La chica de la máscara, while Darío Peña took charge of the documentary portion.

The September issue of Shangay magazine includes in its Arts section a report on the work of Wind director Darío Peña.

Darío was also selected to participate on a special issue of ¡FAKE! magazine, “Piece of Art”, produced by MUSAC of León.
